Art. 204 Personal appearance
1 The parties must appear in person at the conciliation hearing.
2 They may be accompanied by legal agent or a confidant.
3 The following persons are exempt from appearing in person and may send a representative:a. persons domiciled outside the canton or abroad;b. persons prevented from appearing due to illness or age or for other good cause;c. in the disputes mentioned in Article 243, an employee as the delegate of the employer or insurer and the property manager as delegate of the landlord, provided the persons so delegated are authorised in writing to conclude a settlement.
4 The opposing party must be notified in advance of the representation.
