Art. 266 Attacks on the independence of the Confederation

1. Any person who a carries out an act with the aim of,violating or endangering the independence of the Confederation orendangering the independence of the Confederation by bringing about the interference of a foreign power in federal affairs,shall be liable to a custodial sentence of not less than one year.

Amended by No I of the FA of 5 Oct. 1950, in force since 5 Jan. 1951 (AS 1951 1 16; BBl 1949 1 1249).2. Any person who enters into a relationship with the government of a foreign state or its agents with the aim of bringing about a war against the Confederation shall be liable to a custodial sentence of not less than three years.In serious cases a life sentence may be imposed.
