Summary:The defendants H.________ and I.________ and the accused X.________ were represented in a criminal case before the Court of Appeal. The Ministère Public has appealed against the judgment of the District Court of the Est vaudois district. It was about the accusation of negligent homicide. The court found that the accused suffered from a sleep apnea syndrome, which he did not know about before the accident. Due to these circumstances, the accused was acquitted of the charge of negligent homicide. The court ruled that the state X.________ must pay compensation in the amount of CHF 9'948 in accordance with Art. 429 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The appeal of the plaintiffs was dismissed. The judgment is final and can be appealed to the Federal Court.
