Summary:	In a judgment of 14 January 2020, the Cour d'appel civile ruled on a case concerning the jurisdiction of an arbitration court in a dispute between two parties. The plaintiff had sued the defendant for payment of a certain sum and return of cleaning materials. The defendant argued that, according to an arbitration clause in the contracts, the case belongs to an arbitration court. The Cour d'appel civile ruled that the arbitration clause is valid and applicable and dismissed the plaintiff's claim. The court costs were imposed on the plaintiff, and she also had to bear the costs of the defendants. The judgment is final and can be challenged in the Federal Court.
