Summary:	On 23 January 2020, the Chambre des recours pénale decided on an appeal by Y.________ against an order of the Tribunal des mesures de contrainte. Y.________ was convicted of various offenses, including physical injuries, theft, sexual assault and drug use. There is a suspicion of further acts of violence and criminal acts. A psychiatric examination revealed a high risk of further crimes. Despite the applicant's desire for change and professional rehabilitation, the extension of the pre-trial detention was confirmed.
