Kantonsgericht Entscheid 2019/1159 vom 10.01.2020 (VD)
Date:10.01.2020
Force of law:-
Summary:The case concerns the question of whether compulsory medical insurance should cover the insured's dental damage suffered after he fell in his bathroom. Several dentists have expressed different opinions regarding the connection between the accident and the damage found. In the end, it was found that the insured's teeth were already in an advanced state before the accident and that the causal relationship between the accident and the damage could be considered as possible at most. The court order confirms the decision of the insurance company to refuse the insured's claim and rejects the insured's appeal. No court costs will be charged because the insured did not succeed.
