Kantonsgericht Entscheid 2019/1045 vom 26.11.2019 (VD)
Date:26.11.2019
Force of law:-
Summary:The case concerns an unemployed person who refused an offer of work as a warehouse clerk and was therefore suspended from unemployment benefits for 31 days. He argued that the offer did not meet his professional goals. The court ruled that the refusal of the offer of work can be considered a moderate misconduct and reduced the suspension to 23 days. It was found that the unemployed person had not fulfilled his duties to minimize the damage to unemployment insurance. It was also pointed out that the financial situation of the unemployed person or his personal aspirations did not play a role in assessing the misconduct. In the end, the appeal was partially approved, the suspension was reduced to 23 days and no court costs or legal fees were charged.
